BASIC FUNCTION: Candidates should have an understanding of the engineering principles behind the separation, thermal and dehydration processes used in the dairy industry. The successful candidate will conduct a research programme with a particular focus on the identification and exploitation of process engineering principles with other subject matter experts / scientists working in this area (nationally and internationally). Knowledge of separation technologies and in particular membrane processing is essential to the role. An understanding of the parameters used during manufacture of dairy ingredients and end use applications such as nutritional beverages is required.
