Description

The Biotechnological Unit (IMDEA Energy Institute- CIEMAT) is developing technologies for energy production. The Unit is opening a Postdoctoral Scientist. We are looking for talented and motivated candidates with a strong background to perform the following tasks:

• Photosynthetic microorganisms cultivation on different media
• Photobioreactors pilot plant operation 
• Biomass energy conversion through anaerobic digestion.
• Analytical support on liquid and gas chromatography
• Dissemination and publication of research results in scientific journals. 

Your Qualification:
• Ph.D. degree in Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology.
• Solid background in photosynthetic microorganisms’ cultivation and fermentative processes.
• Demonstrated experience by gained expertise and/or publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
• Experienced in national and international projects.
• Fluent in English

Remuneration: Between 32,000€ – 37,000€ per year, depending upon qualification and expertise.
