At the University of Vienna (15 faculties, 4 centres, about 188 fields of study, approx. 9400 members of staff, more than 90.000 students) the position of a
Doctoral researcher in mobile application development at the research group of Software Architecture f/m are presumably vacant for the period of one year from January 2015.
The research group of Software Architecture is a member of the faculty for computer science and the focus is on research in the areas of software architecture, software design, and software engineering.
Within the context of a funded research project, we are searching for candidates for doctoral research positions in software development, design, and architecture of mobile applications for tablets in close cooperation with a company. Experience in these or related areas, experiences in software design and implementation, as well as the ability to closely work together within a team are required.
Extent of Employment: 30 hours/week
Occupation group in accordance with collective bargaining agreement: § 48 VwGr. B1 Grundstufe (praedoc)
On top of this relevant chargeable work experience determines the assessment to a particular salary grade.
The positions will be initially funded for 1 year (very likely renewable), and we expect candidates to start on the position in January 2015. A master or diploma degree in computer science or a closely related discipline is required and must be finished before the contract.
