The research program is addressed towards the study and development of controlled electromechanical systems to be adopted for the improvements of the performance of electric and hybrid vehicles. 

Therefore, the objective of the research activity is to study and design electromechanical devices with the relative control and power unit together with the high level and low level software that is requested to allow the proper functionality of the device. Additionally the program is devoted to study the impact that such devices could have on the vehicle subsystem. This means that dedicated models are needed to be developed and integrated in the model subsystem rather than in the global powertrain model. The activity requested for the present research program is devoted to study new technologies that can be applied in the field of automotive in order the give an improvement for the new generations of powertrains.
