PhD student position available for Biomedical scientist to develop his/her thesis within the EU Initial Training Network FP7-PEOPLE-2013-ITN CardioNext, a highly multidisciplinary, intersectoral and competitive training programme in cardiovascular research.
Description
The student will be exposed to a multidisciplinary group of translational researchers focused in myocardial ischemia/reperfusion. Large animal models of catheter-based myocardial infarction will be developed by the trainee. The student will learn principles, acquisition, and post-processing skills mainly in MRI (3-Tesla), but also in PET/CT and echocardiography.
Applicant must have a Master Degree in Biomedicine, Engineering, Physics or related disciplines. Good English communication skills are mandatory. Research experience will also be valued.
Eligibility:
Candidates must be in the first three years (full-time equivalent) of their research careers and have not yet been awarded a doctoral degree. In addition, must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the recruitment date.
