Applications are invited for fully funded PhD studentships within the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (XM2) in Metamaterials. XM2 will be supporting between 14 and 18 PhD fully-funded (UK/EU only) 4-year studentships from September 2015. A small number of fee-only for international studentships may be available. Studentship includes tuition fees (UK/EU/International) and an annual stipend for UK/EU students (£13863 for academic year 2014/15).

Studentships are awarded for projects in the following fields: Plasmonics, Natural and Disordered Photonics, THz photonics, Microwave metamaterials, Magnonics and Spintronics, Magnetic Metamaterials, Acoustic metamaterials, Spatial transformations, Graphene devices, Nanomaterials and nanocomposites
