Microelectronic Circuits Centre Ireland (MCCI) is an EI / IDA technology centre hosted at Tyndall National Institute and University College Cork in collaboration with the University of Limerick.

MCCI is hiring a Analogue Mixed-Signal / RF IC Senior Researcher who will report to the MCCI Core Team Principal Investigator with the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Carrying out innovative research in high speed Analogue Mixed-Signal / RF integrated circuit design with a focus on taking advantage of deep-submicron CMOS technologies at 28nm and below.

• Working on collaborative projects with MCCI industry partners who include Xilinx, Analog Devices, Cypress, On Semi, M/A-COM, Hittite, Silicon Labs and Intel.

• Participating on and having a lead role in large projects under the direction of project team leaders to develop innovative circuits and architectures in the areas of either high speed SERDES, RF or data-converters.

• Interacting closely with postgraduate research students who are studying for a Masters or a PhD (may have an agreed role in supporting these students in their day to day research).

• Engaging in the dissemination of the results of the research, as directed by and with the support of the MCCI Core Team Principal Investigator.

• Independently carrying out small projects and feasibility studies including responsibility for associated administrative and management tasks.

• Engaging in appropriate training and professional development opportunities as required by the MCCI Core Team Principal Investigator.

• Carrying out any additional duties as may reasonably be required within the general scope and level of the post.

Requirements

• A BEng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering is essential.

• A Masters and/or PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering is desirable.

• Demonstrated expertise in high speed integrated circuits research in SERDES, RF or data-converters is essential with at least 10+ years experience in either industry or academia.
