DESIGN AND HW/SW DEVELOPMENT OF INSTRUMENTS AND INNOVATIVE METHODS OF DATA ACQUISITION AND TRANSMISSION FOR MULTIPARAMETER SYSTEMS IN THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT

Data acquisition and transmission systems operating in the marine environment needs to respond to specific requirements mainly related to power consumption, instrument interfacing, timestamping and also related to volumes, weights and rugged for long term monitoring. In particular for a multi-parameter acquisition system that operates "stand alone" some requirements, such as power consumption, become essential. As part of this project will be followed by the design and development, hardware and software, of a marine platform with multiparametric data transmission in real time by cable or radio. Particular attention will be given to multi-channel acquisition system with high resolution and low power consumption for analog sensors and the management of digital sensors. Will be evaluated the possibility of data transmission in the marine environment by acoustic channel of the synthetic parameters of the acquired data.
