The Chemical Biological Centre, KBC, in Umeå hereby advertises five two-year post-doctoral fellowships for collaborative projects within the centre. The fellowships have been made possible through a generous contribution from The Kempe Foundation.

Titles of the five projects are as follows:

1) Back 2 the Roots – bridging the gap between ecology and plant physiology
2) Bioinformatic analysis of bacterial cell wall dynamics
3) Development and application of image-processing methods for studies of behavioral effects in aquatic organisms
4) Deciphering the regulation of plant mitochondrial functions by using multivariate data analysis on high-dimensional genomics data
5) Modeling the three-dimensional organization of human DNA
