Proactive Technologies Senior Research Scientist

Structure:

Faculty of Information Technology: Department of Computer Control: Research Laboratory for Proactive Technologies.

Main tasks:

The Senior Research Scientist will conduct research in the domain of proactive technologies, which entails research in the complementing research areas, including, but not limited to cognition and situation awareness of artificial systems, cyber-physical systems, information fusion, sensors, signal processing and communication in wireless networks. The researcher will both conduct research as well as lead other researchers conducting research in these areas. The researcher will also supervise master and doctoral students. The researcher will also give courses in these domains.

Requirements for the Senior Research Scientist position:

 

  • Substantial research background and a good track record in situation awareness of artificial systems and cyber-physical systems: sensor systems, computation and communication in sensor networks;
  • The candidate must have strong international industry background in the same areas, both in engineering and in development management levels;
  • The candidate must have experience in lecturing in the domains of cyber-physical systems and supervising students theses;
  • The candidate must have good command of scientific written and spoken English, good communication skills and a proven track record as a team leader.
