We welcome applications for PostDoc positions in Mathematical Modeling in Ecology and Epidemiology to be held in the group of Roberto Kraenkel, in São Paulo, Brazil.

The main research lines in the group are:

- spatial ecology
- interface of ecology and epidemiology
- structured populations

The research topic for this position is the mathematical modeling of epidemics of infectious diseases, and the relationships to ecological factors that affect them.

We use techniques from dynamical systems, reaction-diffusion equations, IBMs, delay equations and network theory.

The position is to be held at the Institute for Theoretical Physics (São Paulo State University, IFT-UNESP), but interaction with groups in ecology and epidemiology is favored by the group. The IFT-UNESP hosts the ICTP-SAIFR, providing a lively scientific environment and opportunities for networking.
