Two PhD Positions

The research is focused on environmental photochemistry, with the ultimate goal being a deeper understanding of the triplet excited states of natural organic matter. This project will bring together photochemistry, spectroscopy, and novel analytical techniques. This project will be supervised by Prof. Kris McNeill of the Environmental Chemistry group, and is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in environmental organic chemistry and/or organic chemistry and/or physical chemistry. Good knowledge of English (spoken and written) is essential. Applicants should hold a MSc degree (or equivalent) in environmental sciences, chemistry, or a related discipline. Employment will be according to standard regulations at ETH (funding secured for 3 years). The project will start in March 2015 or another mutually agreeable date.
