European Projects Specialist

Description

• Funding: Identify new funding opportunities (at the regional, national and international level) 
• Project formulation: Support in the definition of project goals and on proposal writing, advising on project partners, preparation of budget and submission. 
• Project management: Liaising between project and funders; coordination between sites within international projects; coordinating and overseeing project reporting; keeping track of project agendas and deadlines. 
• Financial management of the research lines: Manage the outflow of funds and the control of fund allocation 
• Coordination of networking and dissemination activities: scientific project meetings, schools, workshops. 
• Encourage networking of different actors at regional, national and international levels, in particular establish new industrial partnerships to seek out collaborations with the private sector

Additional Requirements:

• A Bachelor, Master or (preferably) PhD degree in a relevant area of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Biochemistry or Materials Science is required and experience in the fields of nanomaterials or biotechnology is highly desirable. 
• Minimum two years experience in research project management, in particular regarding Framework Programme projects (FP7, H2020) and other EU & international funding schemes. 
• Full command of English and Spanish. 
• Excellent computer skills (knowledge on website and social media management). 
• Capacity to work with people from different backgrounds and expertises. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills as well as written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
