We have an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position in at the Complex Systems and Materials group in the Department of Applied Physics at Aalto University. The successful candidate will be part of the FiDiPro team recently funded by the Academy of Finland to work on Noise and Fluctuations in Materials. Research topics include computational models of plasticity in crystalline and amorphous materials and other rheological problems including active fluids, fracture of disordered media, frictional sliding, domain wall dynamics and biomechanics of tissues and other biological related problems. We are looking for an independent and motivated candidate with solid research experience in one or more of the topics described above.

We offer a competitive salary, employment in a dynamic academic setting and participation in an international collaborative project. The position is initially for one year and can be renewed.
