Astronomical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, a public research institution, invites applications for a scientist's full-contract position in the Solar physics department, located in Ondrejov.
Requirements:
- PhD degree in astronomy and astrophysics;
- Post-doctoral stay in a research institution abroad;
- Demonstrated research activity in solar physics.
Preferential qualifications:
- Physics of the solar corona and flares;
- Spectrocopy and plasma diagnostics;
- Magnetic-field topology and modeling;
- Experience in university teachin.
The starting date of the position is January 1, 2015. Salary will be based on the domestic level and it includes health insurance in the Czech Republic.
