The Group Functional Membranes Group, part of the Laboratory for Protection and Physiology at Empa, St. Gallen, is looking for a

PostDoc with experience in Chemistry, Material Sciences and/or Microfluidic Technologies

The candidate should have outstanding contributions in fields covering chemistry, material sciences and/or microfluidic technologies.

Your tasks
  • Develop new approaches for advanced fluidic synthetic processes, including their design and characterization
  • To study the assembly, integration, and functionality of soft-matter
  • Publication of results in scientific journals and at international conferences
  • Participate during the preparation of scientific projects
Your profile
  • Master in nanotechnology, chemistry, engineering, or materials science
  • Skills and expertise in organic synthesis and electronics
  • Knowledge in the field of polymer science and/or in-flow lithography is preferable
  • Good knowledge of English is a requisite and preferably good knowledge of GermanWe offer a challenging position in a materials research institution with outstanding infrastructure and an interdisciplinary surrounding. The position is available upon agreement.
