We are currently scouting for a Senior C++ Developer (Core Systems) to join our highly successful team in Amsterdam.
What you'll do
As a Senior C++ Developer (Core Systems) you'll be working on core systems such as frameworks and libraries. You'll play a significant role in the architecture of all the systems and you'll continuously be on the lookout for improvements, solutions and extensions. This can range from solving ad hoc production issues to strategic selection and implementation of various middleware solutions and databases. You'll be involved in cross-team projects and your work will have a high organizational impact.
By having regular talks with stakeholders from all departments, from development to trading, you will take a unique vantage point from where you will able to identify and document possible improvements resulting in concrete business proposals.
Once accepted, you will take the lead in the design, development and implementation of your proposed changes, ranging from gathering requirements all the way to successful roll-out and adoption.
What you'll need
- Minimum 5 years of working experience as a software developer (preferably in different roles/teams/companies);
- Solid experience in C++;
- Expert knowledge of STL and popular (open source) C++ libraries;
- Working experience in Python;
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or other DBMS;
- An independent, proactive and flexible attitude and a structured way of working;
- An ambitious team player and communicator who enjoys creative freedom and independence.
