We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Specialist Test Engineer, to offer his/her services within a renowned European Institution in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Tasks & Responsibilities

The consultant will perform the following tasks/services in relation to the solution:

  •     Perform test analysis, design and execution of technical and functional tests related to the validation of the new EAS solution, based on the existing solution requirements and high level technical architecture.
  •     Write/maintain test scripts for manual and automated testing, create/maintain representative test data.
  •     Support Operational Acceptance Testing and User Acceptance Testing activities.
  •     Identify and follow up defects status in close collaboration with Project team.

Skills and Experience

  •     A University degree ideally in ICT with minimum 8 years of experience in IT;
  •     a minimum of 6 years of experience in various areas of software testing
  •     a minimum of 3 years of experience in conducting non-functional testing activities (e.g. performance, availability, security)
  •     a minimum of 2 years of experience testing JAVA based enterprise solutions
  •     a minimum of 1 year of experience in:
    •  organizing/contributing to operational acceptance testing (OAT) of in-house/outsourced developed applications o reviewing requirements and defining acceptance criteria
    •   testing on Linux environments
    •     multi-national or law enforcement projects
  •     Knowledge of the fundamental test process, performance testing techniques & system integration testing
  •     Knowledge how to approach and organize operation acceptance testing
  •     knowledge of formal reviews of requirements and definition of acceptance criteria, performance testing of Java applications and Java performance tuning & Linux

Desirable:

  •     Knowledge of architecture, components and standard functionalities of Palantir Government solutions
  •     Business Process Management concepts and platforms, monitoring concepts and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager & SQL
  •     Knowledge of testing in virtualized environments, data migration testing & ISTQB terminology, demonstrated by passing the relevant certification exam(s)
  •     Fluent language skills in English, both written and spoken (B2).
