We have an exciting new opportunity for a qualified and experienced Six Sigma Black Belt Expert to help us improve and streamline manufacturing processes at our highly successful plant in Arendal. We are always striving to make improvements and this position will help us exceed our goals and deliver even better service to our clients.
Hernis is a part of Eaton’s electrical engineering division focusing on engineering and production of CCTV systems for hazardous areas in the Oil & Gas and maritime industries. More information about our business in Norway is available on our websites : www.hernis.no and www.eaton.no.
Essential Functions:
· Analysing manufacturing, research and development and purchasing processes
· Managing the planning, facilitation and completion of projects
· Driving lean implementation to deliver improvements on cost performance
· Implementing strategic plans to improve capacity and performance
· Facilitating kaizen and rapid improvement events to deliver improvement activities
· Driving the organisation's development to become a complete lean organisation
· Co-ordinating improvement activities across departments and functions
Qualifications:
- A bachelor degree, ideally within technical engineering
- Six Sigma Black Belt certified
- Minimum five years lean and continuous improvement implementation experience -
- A proven track record in application of Six Sigma methods to business improvement
- Experience of lean implementation in a manufacturing environment
- Preferably possesses experience with product flow, testing and both electrical and mechanical assembly
- Has experience in using problem solving methodologies such as A3 / Eight Disciplines (8D)
- Be very focused, results oriented and driven by targets and deadlines
- Continuously seeking new ways of operation
- Capable of training, coaching and supporting others
