The Lim Lab is seeking a Post-doctoral Fellow or Staff Scientist using Drosophila as a model system to study the novel genes and pathways involved in the regulation of energy metabolism and heart function, using a combination of genetic, biochemistry and functional imaging approaches. The research will involve working with a multi-disciplinary group of collaborators in the Free Radical Biology and Aging Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (omrf.org). Our lab shares strong collaborations with other labs at OMRF and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the areas of aging, mitochondrial biology, osteoimmunology, and energy metabolism. The Free Radical Biology and Aging Program is committed to training postdoctoral fellows for scientific career advancement. We are seeking candidates with a strong scientific background and excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with a multidisciplinary research team. Candidates with Drosophila genetics background will be a plus. The position is available immediately.
