Your ideas are our fuel.We are talent pooling globally for Communication Systems Engineer(s) to be based in one of the following locations:- Sweden (Stockholm or Hassleholm)Your RoleYou will be responsible to design, implement, integrate, verify, validate and deliver the wired and wireless communication solutions for railway signalling systems and related communication solutions.Your Responsibilities and Challenges- Ensure the Projects’Radio and Network deliverables are done on time and to quality.- Development of the Team Members- Identifying, developing, implementing and improving the teams’ processes for developing Radio and Network solutions is a key area of responsibility.- Supporting the bids with documents for submission, work estimates and resource allocation is also an important part of this role.QualificationsYour Qualifications and Experience- Degree or Chartered status essential, Masters Degree desirable.- Extensive Rail or Telecommunications Engineering experience is highly desirable.- Significant experience and hands on delivery of the design, analysis, development, testing and delivery of engineering solutions that solve complex requirements.- Experience in providing cost and schedule estimates on complicated engineering programs.- Experience in providing technical expertise in train control and information systems to shape future solutions.- The ability to work closely and communicate effectively with colleagues & engineers across functions, with customers, suppliers and at board-level is essential.- Fluency in English essential with other European languages desirable- Knowledge of Systems and Software Engineering methodologies is essential.- Team player and keen to work for continuous improvement.- Very good knowledge and experience of LAN/WAN systems, wired and wireless communication and associated applications for network monitoring and control.- Knowledge of digital networking system concepts such as Ethernet, IP, routing, switching on different layers, VLAN.- Knowledge and understanding of general communication concepts, such as modulation, noise, latency, processing gain, divisional multiple access, etc.- Understanding of RF design concepts such as link budget and free space propagation.- Knowledge of fibre optic layout, design, testing and concepts such as splicing.- Knowledge in general electrical hardware design e.g. assembly drawings, schematics and bill-of-materials.- Knowledge of SW Development (C, C++, C#, Java), Configuration Management Tools (e.g. Synergy), Requirements Management Tools (e.g. DOORS) is considered a plusWhy Work for Us?Everywhere we operate, we reward effort and initiative.You are encouraged to ask questions and empowered to make decisions.As an equal opportunity employer, we strive to create a stimulating and open workplace which fosters teamwork, fairness, respect and diversity.We are helping create a better world.ECO4 - the formula for energy-saving performance.By making a difference today, we are helping create a better world for future generations.
