Technical Consultant

As Technical Consultant you are responsible for developing and implementing changes in our IT Infrastructure landscape, this can be both on infrastructure layer or application layer. You will be mainly responsible for implementing (business) projects according to DLL’s standards and guidelines. Next to that, you will assist Operations in solving the incidents that occur in our network in a timely and qualitative manner. 

You are responsible for…

• Translating business requirements in technical solutions.
• Ensuring your solutions will meet our architectural and security standards and guidelines.
• Ensuring your project deliverables are ‘on time’, ‘on budget’ and ‘on quality’.
• Implementing and testing changes according to defined processes.
• Covering ‘Technical Application Management’ in business projects and changes.

Your profile

You have…

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field of study and at least 7 years relevant experience.
• Helicopter view of an IT Infrastructure landscape.
• Good knowledge of web servers (i.e. IIS, Websphere or JBoss), database management systems (i.e. SQL Server) application deployment, application deployment automation, scripting, deployments, workload management.
• Good general knowledge of Infrastructure technologies like Windows Server, Linux, VMWare, Citrix, RES Workspace, Microsoft App-V, Network technologies, etc.
• Good networking skills to work and communicate with different departments and people.
• Good knowledge of customer and service oriented working.
• Good process management skills.
