Your ideas are our fuel.We are looking for a Production Engineer to be based inStockholm or PlymouthRail Control Solutions (RCS) is a world leader in developing, engineering and installing rail control and signalling safety systems, products and services.RCS enables the safe and efficient operation of rail networks and trains.Your RoleYou will fill an important function securing that our signal system products are delivered on time and to the required quality. Many of our products are safety-critical and used in all rail traffic solutions.As a part of our team you work for maintained safety and improved functionality of the railway signal systems which will ultimately contribute to increased capacity of the railway systems. In this role you will be focused on supporting Bombardier Operations and internal and external manufacturing sites. You will work as part of a Global team to provide supplier selection, assembly- and product development support for a wide range of electronic and electro-mechanical products. You will be expected to travel within Sweden or Europe 2-3 days a month, and to do one trip to Asia per year. You will also be expected to:- Provide design for Manufacture feedback during the product development phase- Provide Technical Support for both internal and external manufacturing sites- Provide input to plan, manage and perform product introduction- Specify key processes at external and internal manufacturing sites- Produce manufacturing documentation, including production process schematics and pre-series reports- Provide technical assessment to support Procurement in the supplier selection processYour Challenges:You will be working in close corporation with R&D and be actively involved during the product development phase to provide constructive input in order to influence product design for optimal series production.- To ensure series production yield of all new product developments are at an acceptable level- To ensure manufacturing technical issues at our internal and external suppliers are identified, prioritized and resolved to minimize effect on quality and deliveries.QualificationsYour Experience and QualificationsWe believe you are educated to degree level or have gained equivalent knowledge through 2-5 years of relevant working experience- Knowledge of production for electronics (PCBA) is an advantages- Fluent English is required- Ability to travel frequentlyIn order to be successful in this position you need be independent, well organized and structured. You also need to be driven with good communication and collaborative abilities.
