Functions You will :
* Be responsible for the implementation studies, for the writing of the technical specification, and for the follow-up of the construction and installation efforts concerning the cryogenic and gas purification systems for future large liquid argon based neutrino detectors to be installed at CERN.
* Collaborate with the project team based at Fermi Lab (Chicago, USA) on the implementation studies, on the definition of the technical specifications, and on theconstruction and installation follow-up of cryogenic and purification systems which the CERN team shall develop for future USA based neutrino detectors.
* Carry out activities to contribute to the design of large liquid argon cryostats for neutrino detectors.
* Be part of the team of CERN staff and international visitors working on this subject at CERN, contributing to the team at a Technical Engineer level.
Qualification required
Bachelor's degree in the field of mechanics or thermodynamics, or equivalent.
The experience required for this post is:
* Demonstrated experience - at Technical Engineer level - in calculation, design, production follow up, installation and commissioning of large mechanical installations.
* Profound experience in the field of cryogenics.
* A first experience on working in an internatioal project would be an advantage.
The technical competencies required for this post are:
* 3D & 2D technical drawing.
* Mechanical systems integration.
* Installation of cryogenics distribution systems.
* Commissioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment & systems.
* Design of mechanical structures.
