A vacancy has arisen for a Systems Engineering Manager to manage and lead an extensive Systems Engineering Department that offers and delivers bespoke train braking systems in accordance with customer requirements.

Purpose of Role:

Managing the Systems Engineering Department to offer customers technologically innovative system solutions utilising components from the product portfolio. The role covers system selection and tendering, development and approval of system solutions and delivery of project milestones from system design to commissioning and customer acceptance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Close liaison with global locations to ensure the optimum selection of system components to fulfil individual customer applications;
• Engagement with customers to offer innovative and creative system solutions that promote and maintain client as the market leader;
• Manage the creation and application of system requirement specifications, functional specifications, test specifications, calculations and design documentation.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering;
• Rail brake systems engineer with a minimum of 5 years' supervisory/management experience;
• Proven supervisory skills.
