About the Unit
Yara’s Catalyst Core Competence Community is located in Porsgrunn, Norway, and is responsible for providing Yara's business with optimal catalytic systems and support.
The group consists of 25 multinational, highly qualified employees. The group develop, produce and characterize catalysts in laboratory and pilot scale systems, and run tests in our plants world wide.
We are now looking for a Process Engineer who can develop to become a technical catalyst expert supporting our plants and excecute R&D projects. As part of the group you will have the opportunity to support Yara’s plants around the world as well as using our R&D test facilities in a growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Guide and support Yara’s plants on optimal catalytic performance;
- On-site troubleshooting;
- Plan and run catalysis R&D projects;
- Evaluate and supervise catalyst inspections and installations in plants;
- Support professional networking across the organization.
Profile
- MSc in inorganic chemistry, materials technology or process engineering;
- Min. 2 years experience from process industry or R&D work;
- Experience from working with catalysts is desirable;
- Analytical and systematic approach;
- Self-driven and able to work and communicate closely with colleagues from different cultures;
- Frequent travelling in periods must be expected;
- Fluent in English.
