Areas of responsibility
Your tasks will focus on project management of offshore wind activities, primarily in Northern Europe, from origination through maturation and up until submission of a bid for subsidy award. The purpose of the role as Project Development Manager is to secure value creation by developing and optimising offshore wind projects which are technically and economically viable, and to safeguard the project against unnecessary costs.
As Project Development Manager, you will ensure that the overall business objectives of the development project are met with regard to the overall project business case, timeline, budget and agreed scope, specifications and quality, including ensuring the required resources.
Furthermore, your key duties will be to:
- manage budgets and programmes for the development of offshore wind projects
- liaise with internal and external specialist consultants to ensure optimum technical and economical design, and eliminate all initiatives and activities that do not add to the core value
- prepare project status reports for the Steering Committee and our Senior Management group
- manage a dedicated multidisciplinary project team
- plan and analyse the strategy for project implementation and prepare the handover for execution of the project.
Your profile
You have a relevant engineering background or a master’s degree in engineering.
You possess project management skills combined with a suitable level of experience matching the seniority of the position. A PMI certificate will be an advantage. We expect that you have experience from working in multidisciplinary teams. It is an advantage if you have experience from the wind power industry or the marine environment.
You have excellent communication skills, and as a team player, you communicate well with colleagues at all organisational levels. As we operate in a highly international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently.
You have a sense for detail, but are still able to find both constructive and practical solutions to all kinds of operational and technical challenges. Additionally, you are a proactive team player and wish to share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues in order to contribute actively to developing and improving the offshore wind farm field.
