Mouchel

South West, United Kingdom

About the Role:

Mouchel, a leading provider of Infrastructure consultancy and NCE/ACE Major Consultant of the Year 2015, are recruiting to serve our appointment as Framework Consultant to the Wessex Water AMP6 programme. This follows a successful AMP5 by the existing Mouchel design team at Wessex Water.

You will be a specialist Wastewater Treatment Engineer in a team who are expanding to deliver the Capital Maintenance and new-build programme for wastewater treatment in Wessex Water. The contract runs for all of AMP6. We have a co-located team in Wessex Water’s Operations Centre in Bath supported by additional engineers in Mouchel’s Bristol office.

The work will comprise all aspects of sewage treatment design, including projects to improve screening, secondary filters, membrane plants, odour reduction, hydraulic improvements, MEICA enhancement, growth, P removal and water quality enhancement.

Experience in the design and delivery of Wessex Water projects and familiarity with Wessex Water documentation and processes would be an advantage, though not essential.

There are significant opportunities to enhance and expand your experience, including potential to support projects for Mouchel teams serving other Water Companies. We are keen to support your professional and personal career goals (including developing more junior members of the team, attending and contributing to Mouchel and Wessex Water best practice groups, supporting progress to professional qualification) and chances to progress as the company goes through a significant growth period.

About You:

You will have membership of a relevant professional institution, appropriate academic qualification and/or will have demonstrable experience. We expect you to be from one or more of the following specialisations:

  • Civils including Hydraulics;
  • Structures;
  • Process;
  • MEICA.

At engineer level, with knowledge and experience in sewerage treatment projects, you'll be able to provide advice and guidance to assistant engineers and graduates and check their technical outputs.

You will have the drive and determination to ensure that the team meet all targets for budget, programme, quality, safety and performance.
