Job description

In the Product Management department, a motivated team works on the competitiveness of the current and future product portfolio of Nordex. Key focus areas are reducing the cost of generating electricity, analyzing new product opportunities as well as preserving the permit ability of our turbines. Where markets meet technology, we work jointly with the product development teams lead by the Engineering function, the international Sales team as well as the majority of other functions in Nordex, and not least with our customers, to secure competitive products and successful market launch activities. As Product Manager you perform the following tasks:

  • Drive the product portfolio of established serial products during their lifecycle to meet the needs of Nordex' customers and markets;
  • Monitor competitor product offerings and activities;
  • Manage and drive a pipeline of after sales products in close cooperation with Global Service/Product Modernization Center;
  • Initiate new product development projects based on requirement specifications and business cases;
  • Take responsibility for the requirement monitoring and market launch workstreams of new products during the interdisciplinary development process;
  • Interact with key customers and other stakeholders during requirement management, pre-sales phases and during product market launches;
  • Support sales and customer care activities.

Job requirements

  • Completed university studies in the field of Engineering (M.Sc. or equivalent), ideally with a focus on electrical engineering or mechanical engineering; alternatively a Business/Economics degree with a strong technical background;
  • Experience in investment goods product management, product development, project management or technical sales, ideally in the (wind) energy industry and/or with an aftersales focus;
  • Entrepreneurial and analytical mindset, personality with demonstrated ability to drive topics to success in a complex environment;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Fluency in English and German, written & spoken;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, experience with SAP an asset;
  • Willingness to travel.
