Description of the job

A TEMPORARY POSITION as Supplier Operations Manager has arisen within Airbus AOSL in Getafe (Spain).

The jobholder will manage all aspects of the subcontracts, in particular the OT, OQ, OCdelivery of all deliverables. Identify and manage the supply risk fromglobal & local supply markets. Set short term recovery plans & longterm improvement targets with suppliers. Lead the supplier evaluationprocess. Implement tools & actions supporting the supplier development.Ensure the transverse view ( cross programs ) on subcontractor (negotiations, performance evaluations, action plans). Report to theinternal customer (FAL, Plants…)

Tasks & accountabilities

Asses the Supplier capacity, capability & performance and contribute tothe Supplier development to mitigate the industrial risk.
Projects or Products Focal Point to interface with internal and/or externalSuppliers.
Responsible for the subcontract execution (contractualdocumentation approval, OT/OQ/OC performances ).
Work out short termrecovery plans and set long term development targets together with thesuppliers. Initiate and manage supplier performance improvementprojects.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
As the successful candidate, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the required domain .
  • Is MANDATORY for this position: To have experiences and academic background in Project Management-
  • Chartered Engineer Aeronautical/ Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent;
  • Good communication skills and a pro-active approach to problem solving;
  • Strong English skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent verbal communication.
  • The ability to work to strict timescales as part of an integrated, multidiscipline team;
  • Good leadership skills
  • Proactive, problem solving and decision making
  • Assertiveness
