| Job description: | Job Description On behalf of our client, a Forex company in Larnaca, we are looking to recruit a Senior Systems Administrator. Position:Senior Systems Administrator Department:I.T. Services Reports To: Head of I.T. Infrastructure Jobs Responsibilities To configure, administer and maintain the company's database cluster of servers based locally and in remote locations Optimize support services and maintenance cycles Configure, administer and maintain Unix based/Linux services that the company’s front line applications and services Manage the provision of workstations required in the office Ensure the efficient functionality of all I.T. hardware equipment to its full capacity Conduct research and development on infrastructure initiatives to keep in line with up to date technologies Provide technical infrastructure support to all internal departments Provide support to I.T. departments for the functionality of their systems Design and configuration of systems required for the departments to carry out their tasks Deal with all external suppliers for infrastructure connectivity Manage the procurement of hardware and software from approved suppliers Define I.T. policies and security measures and ensure implementation Constantly looking at improving the productivity of the I.T. infrastructure and suggesting modifications Carries out any further duties assigned by their line manager Contributes to a positive and dynamic working environment |

| Qualifications required: | Job Requirements BSc in Computer Science or relevant field Minimum 5 years’ experience in using languages such as PHP, Python, Bash and SQL Experience in FX, gaming or similar Experience in infrastructural virtualisation procedures/VM ware and cluster environments Fluency in English - extra language would be considered an advantage-.
