Responsibilities:

You will be part of a Tech Sales EMEA South Management Team, responsible for the technical support for one of the most performing SBUs in Vestas during last years. You will be assigned your own specific areas of responsibility with key tasks and deliverables such as: 

  • Management, coordination and development of the W&S engineers in EMEA South;
  • Review and approval of their reports, securing the best quality and timely deliveries;
  • Definition and achievement, with the rest of the Management team in EMEA South, of the relevant KPIs to asses and improve the performance of such a team;
  • Represent and secure visibility of EMEA South needs in terms of W&S tools and support within Plant Siting and Forecasting department, in a creative and challenging way that secures Vestas siting capabilities are perceived, externally and externally, as best practice in the industry;
  • Assignation of tasks and priorities, once agreed with Tech Sales and Sales, to your direct reports;
  • Participation in projects reviews and TRC meetings;
  • Participation in customer and third party meetings to understand and influence decisions, and present and explain Vestas offerings where required;
  • Analyze and provide best offers for Power Curve and Noise warranties.

Qualifications:

  • You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. - either in Engineering or similar fields, or relevant technical experience in the wind sector that enables you to understand the technical levers of the W&S activity;
  • Preferably you have some years of experience with the wind industry, and also in managing and developing highly qualified employees, in a dynamic and changing environment with though targets and high visibility on the decisions made;
  • Understanding of Vestas’ product portfolio, business model, business drivers of both Vestas and the final customer and the complete Vestas value chain are strong advantages for the position we look for, and as such we aim for an internal candidate;
  • Excellent communication skills and used to working in a global company. No fear for challenging and being challenged, in a respectful and cooperative way, to colleagues, employees, peers;
  • Curiosity and willingness to improve the results are key aspects for success in this position;
  • Confidence in the team and empowerment are basic principles to be implement, while holding the accountability of the team performance;
  • Fluent English – oral and written.
