The working environment

The Product “Renewable Energy” is responsible for all the engineering related to the development and realisation of renewable energy generation projects in wind, small and large scale biomass, concentrated solar power, solar photovoltaic and geothermal power. These projects go from the pre-feasibility studies up to final commissioning of the installations, covering feasibility, basic design, detailed design, procurement and on-site construction follow-up.

Within “Renewable Energy”, you are responsible for Wind Power projects, covering engineering studies, Owner’s Engineering, and/or Engineering-Procurement-Construction Management assignments.

Your function

  • You have a strong technical background in the development and realisation of wind power projects;
  • You participate in the preparation of the technical-commercial proposals;
  • You set up a project team in accordance with the need of the project;
  • You coordinate and manage the project team;
  • You share your expertise with your project team;
  • You manage the Procurement activities (tendering, contracting and invoicing);
  • You take care of the contact with the Client and the project contractors;
  • You manage and monitor the planning, the budget, the safety aspects and the technical quality of the project;
  • You take care of the technical-commercial optimisation of the project installations;
  • You manage the project scope variations related to the project, if any.

Qualifications

  • You have a Master Degree in Engineering;
  • You have a least 10 years experience in large wind power projects;
  • You have at least 5 years experience in project management including realisation;
  • You have a very good knowledge of French and English; Dutch is a great asset; any other language knowledge is a plus;
  • You are a good team manager with coaching abilities, an eye for detail and for meeting the Client’s expectations;
  • You have knowledge in financial indicators for project follow-up;
  • You have some legal knowledge (contract management,…) and master the risk management culture;
  • Knowledge of simulation software (like WAsP and WindPro) is an asset;
  • Knowledge of GIS software (like MapInfo) is an asset;
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • You are flexible, you are good at planning concurrent assignments and you are a good organiser, even in unexpected circumstances;
  • You are willing to travel and are open to expatriation.
