Description of the job

Within the ATR Engineering Division you will work as Head of Operational Engineering and will manage activities in the fields of operational documentation and operational suitability.

You will be based in Toulouse.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks are as follows:

  • Manager of the Operational Documentation (AFM, MMEL, FCOM, QRH, WBM, CCOM, etc.) and Operational Suitability (OSD) teams (6 people)
  • Being the dedicated entry point in Engineering for Operational subjects
  • Analysis of aircraft improvements and all operational subjects (performance, incident/accident recommendations, etc.) and their impact on operational documentation or OSD
  • Presentations of these studies to Authorities
  • Validation of Technical Notes as Showing of Compliance or Compliance Verification Engineer in the field of operational suitability
  • Managing competencies in accordance with needs in the short, mid and long term
  • Developing knowledge, know-how, and best practices in the fields of operational documentation and operational suitability
  • Proposing continuous improvements in the development of processes and tools
  • Proposing the Operating Plan each year in terms of budget and FTE
  • Proposing and monitoring the make or buy policy, and ensuring the follow-up of subcontracting results
  • Ensuring the follow-up of subjects and regularly presenting the dashboard to the Head of Flight Technologies

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Engineering degree specialising in aeronautics
  • At least 10 years of operational experience in flight operations, as a pilot, etc.
  • Team and project management experience
  • Experience in Human Factors is recommended
  • Experience in Safety would be a plus
  • IT: xml knowledge
  • Team spirit, pro-activeness, leadership
  • English: negotiation level
  • French: negotiation level
