Your Role

Your main focus will be to perform detailed design based on a system design with requirements on safety, availability and maintainability. Using both proprietary and off-the-shelf tools, you will configure the hardware for the object controlling and housing solutions of interlocking systems in railway customer projects across the northern sales region; mainly Sweden and the other Nordic countries, the Baltics and the UK.

Your Responsibilities and Challenges

  • Configure and document wayside object controllers in cabinets and signalling equipment buildings;
  • Perform reviews of detailed designs and documentation;
  • Coordinate with other suppliers of designs and equipment;
  • Decide about technical solutions related to the hardware configuration of the design;
  • Participate in continuous refinement of the group’s work processes and ways of working;
  • Follow applicable internal and external rules and regulations;
  • Deliver in time with required quality;
  • Support manufacturing, installation, test and commissioning during construction of the system;
  • Participate in bid estimation work for new potential contracts.

Qualifications

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • BSc in Engineering or other relevant technical education;
  • Fluent English and Swedish is required;
  • Knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts within Signalling System Configuration or other railway background;
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD;
  • Experience in configuration of control systems.

Since this position also includes cooperation with other stakeholders you need to be both social and have high degree of integrity.
