Project Manager

Fixed-term position: 2 years renewable.

Starting: mid-May 2015

This position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience in project management and consultancy in the fields of EU Energy and Environment affairs.

Responsibilities:

- Acting as the contact point on behalf of the organisation within the project consortium and the internal project team members;

- Coordinating the project team members: organising, collecting and harmonising their inputs into coherent reports in accordance with the Project work plan;

- Monitoring the progress and deliverables of the project – making sure the deadlines are met;

- Collecting and analysing information, documentation and data;

- Drafting reports, presentations and other communication material;;

- Performing various administrative and financial tasks linked to the project.

- Organising events and work meetings;

- Attending and reporting on project meetings and relevant workshops;

- Presenting the progress of the project internally in the organisation;

- Liaising with relevant experts and stakeholders;

- Active contribution to day-to-day operations;

- Preparing, managing and updating the website, databases and mailing lists.

Other overall responsibilities:

- Monitoring future EU funding opportunities (H2020 call for tenders; call for projects)

- Being responsible for the preparation of proposals and their submission;

- Identifying possible partners – consortium building

Your profile:

- University or advanced degree in Economics or Engineering preferred;

- At least one year experience within project management / coordination, preferably in EU funded projects / EC service contracts preferably in energy / environment areas

- Knowledge of EU funding programmes (such as FP7 and Horizon 2020), Grants and Procurement notices (service contracts);

- Knowledge of EU energy / environment policies will be considered an asset;

- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. French and/or German are desired;

- Strong organisation skills;

- Ability to manage stress, multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise workload;

- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;

- Proficiency with MS Office applications and Internet is a must, acquaintance with other software (database management, Contao, ...) is a strong advantage;

- Pragmatic, ability to take initiative and independently plan to meet deadlines;

- Self-starter, positive attitude, flexible, team player and sense of humour.
