For the Floating Production Department in Hoofddorp we are looking for a Senior Process Engineer.
The Floating Production Operations Support department is responsible for engineering, procurement and construction services for modifications of FPSOs operated by Bluewater as well as associated document control in order to contribute to the realization of the company’s goals and strategy. The department consists of a modification core team, a delivery team and an as-built team.
In general modifications encompass technical changes onboard Bluewater’s FPSOs in topside process systems, marine systems and E&I systems. The Floating Production Operations Support department is working on several modification jobs at the same time, scope and complexity varying from minor to major. Modifications take place in a live production environment.
Function
As Senior Process Engineer you are responsible for defining the process engineering execution plan and generating the related CTR. Furthermore you are responsible for delivering the engineering output of the process work scope in line with the technical specification, budget and planning. You reply to queries from offshore, clients and vendors on time and signal technical risks to anomalies to your Section Head. You assist the Modifications Delivery Manager or Section Head in establishing the commissioning functional specifications to achieve technical integrity in line with the design. During the procurement- and construction phase you assist in vendor/(sub)contractor selection, definition of and participation in inspections and review of process related documentation.
You signal and anticipate on technical developments and coach more junior Process Engineers. On request of your Section Head or Corporate Technical Authority you act as technical advisor in construction/commissioning activities and during asset operation. You will regularly go on trips abroad (to base offices) and occasionally visit the vessels offshore (at least 5-10 days).
Requirements
We are looking for a good communicator with strong problem analyzing skills and a problem solving hands-on approach. Furthermore:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or in Mechanical Engineering, differentiation Process Technology;
- Over 8 years of relevant experience in upstream process engineering;
- English good, verbally as well as in writing;
- Computer literacy for discipline calculations and document processing;
- Affinity with technical matters and in-depth analysis of technical problems;
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards;
- Specific knowledge of gas processing;
- Experience with process plant commissioning.
