The position
The Manager Project Planning sets up and ensures that the planning department is run efficiently. In order to do so planning resources have to be recruited and enabled to perform their planning tasks effectively.
Areas of responsibility and result
- Development and implementation of professional planning systems including visualisation techniques for our project execution
- Building a team of dedicated and professional project planners
- Integration of the planning systems into the tender -, preparation -and execution phase
- Overseeing the preparation and execution of the planning process in all (complex) tenders and projects
- Overviewing the preparation and execution of planning operations in conformity with agreed procedures in order to support operations and project management
- Building and maintaining a strong network of internal relations and intensify contact with relevant internal parties to ensure the involvement of planning during the tendering and execution phase of projects
- Managerial guidance, coaching and assessment of the planning department staff in order to ensure the optimal staffing of the department in terms of both quality and quantity
We ask for
- Thinking and operating at University or Higher Vocational Education level
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience, including the preparation and execution of integrated planning activities (preferably in a construction environment)
- Up to date knowledge of the latest planning software programs
- Strong and proven leadership skills ,experienced in leading a department of 20 employees or more
- Proven experience and good results in setting up new teams or other business lines
- Outstanding organizational, social and communication skills
- Team player with a drive for result and decisiveness
