Associate Director, IT Service Delivery-SER000568DescriptionJob Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Executive Director IT Account Management, Enterprise Management and Manufacturing, this position will be responsible for all AH IT service delivery activities in support of the Enterprise Process and Manufacturing Technical landscape. Beside these responsibilities this position is a member of the global AH-IT Architecture Team and represents Animal Health Enterprise Process and Manufacturing technical solutions.The Associate Director IT Global Service Delivery will:- Provide technical oversight of delivered solutions in support of the functional work streams.- Ensure the delivery teams, internal and external, provide technical solutions that are consistent with standards.- Manage the relationships with internal and external suppliers to ensure delivery against SLAs.- Collaborate within and across teams in Merck IT globally to leverage shared services and align and share best practices.- Manage demand management activities supporting new developments, enhancement requests, as well as incident, problem & change management to ensure efficient and effective operations.- Ensure stable operations of the ERP and enterprise landscape are achieved through a controlled delivery model.- Leveraging the ITIL model, ensure that operations are in control and that performance levels are in alignment with SLAs.- Interface with Information Risk Management teams to ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed.In his/her architecture role the Associate Director IT Global Service Delivery will:- Provide guidance to the architecture teams on technical standards and data movement and interfaces.- Coach and mentor others in the organization to improve their technical acumen and business knowledge.- Provide recommendations on technical standards across the architecture teams.The Associate Director IT Account Management should have the business acumen and communication skills to shape, articulate and sell a cohesive Business-IT strategy.QualificationsQualifications Required:- A bachelor or master degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience is required. An M.B.A. would significantly enhance the candidate’s qualifications, but is not required.- A demonstrated track record of success as an information technology leader in the pharmaceutical or related industry with an intense focus on IT operations.- Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience managing complex IT landscapes, with at least 4 years of experience in SAP Basis, SAP Business Warehouse, or a combination of SAP solutions.- Experience in the ITIL framework for managing IT Infrastructure.- Demonstrated skills and experience in managing medium to large service contracts in a global delivery model.- Exceptionally well-developed interpersonal skills.
