FLiDAR is a joint venture company established between 3E and OWA (DEME group) which builds, services and commercialises a floating LiDAR based offshore wind measurement device.

The FLiDAR measurement buoy represents a major break-through for the offshore wind industry enabling dramatic cost reductions for offshore wind resource assessments. FLiDAR has established a leading position in the offshore wind measurement business and wishes to strengthen that position.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

To support the ongoing contracts and foreseen commercial opportunities FLiDAR wishes to strengthen its team with an offshore logistics & technical manager. The ideal candidate has relevant offshore experience to oversee the deployment of FLiDAR devices. He adopts existing procedures quickly and creates new ones where necessary, taking safety standards into account. During interventions he will be able to identify major technical issues.

The following topics are considered in the scope of the function:

  • Logistical organisation and execution of offshore interventions;
  • Mobilisation/demobilisation;
  • QHSE management;
  • Small technical repairs.

The offshore logistics & technical manager will report to the general manager.

Profile:

  • Engineering degree;
  • At least 5 years’ experience with focus on offshore operational management;
  • High flexibility in terms of tasks and travel;
  • Self-starter and able to work independently;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages, especially French and Dutch, is an asset.

Location:

Most of the work is done in the FLiDAR offices in Brussels.
The position requires some international travel (+/-30%).
