Lead Thermodynamics Engineer

Essential Responsibilities:

The Lead Engineer/Technologist demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. In this role, you will be mainly responsible for:

  • Provide technical leadership to performance team for specific project to meet objectives;
  • Provide interface within performance specialists, program/project managers and department managers;
  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements;
  • Manage the program/project, provide technical guidance and mentoring as necessary;
  • Execute plans to achieve goals, communicate results to the customer;
  • Support new/derivative engine development;
  • Cooperate with Product Engineering Centre (PEC), Product Integration Centre (PIC) and Assembly Test & Overhaul Organizations (ATO);
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews;
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master degree in Engineering specialized in Aerospace;
  • Min 5 years expertise in aerospace industry;
  • Required turbo-machinery background, thermodynamics knowledge preferable;
  • Understanding of Design Organization Approvals (Part 21J);
  • Experience with design practices in Aerospace industry;
  • Aware of certification processes – required procedures, tests;
  • CAD, CFD and programming skills advantage;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Program/project management skills;
  • Internal & external customer focused;
  • Capable to work in cross functional international teams at different locations and multicultural environment;
  • Excellent communication skills.
