SUMMARY OF ROLE
Primary purpose of the job is to support European sales offices to achieve sales targets by providing technical and commercial proposals (quotes) and offering a complete ‘enquiry to order’ service.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare proposals for a dedicated sales office. This can include detailed specification review, engineering, pricing, commercial or technical details.
- Complete proposals for conference calls or face to face meeting in cooperation with stakeholders and agree on proposal strategy.
- Communicate with customer or sales office on progress and issues of the proposal.
- Produce response on customer and sales clarification requests.
- Prepare complete package for purchase order entry into business systems for order execution.
- Work closely with internal departments to receive technical and commercial inputs, knowledge or approvals to complete the proposal.
- Look for continuous improvement opportunities to develop processes, on time quoting, quality (smart quoting and clean order) and productivity.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, chemical or similar).
- Fluent in English, additional language is advantage.
- Previous control valve engineering knowledge and experience is advantage.
- Customer focused, self motivated and able to communicate clearly, both written and in speech.
