About the position
You are a dynamic, proactive, team oriented and results focused program director, who takes end responsibility for all new and existing (non) recurring programs. You are the key interface with our client on the performance of all programs. You are capable of leading and managing the direction of all programs in line with the strategic and/or operational objectives of Fokker Aerostructures, in order to optimise the profitability, income and growth of our client as well as Fokker Aerostructures. You have a proven track record in showing leadership and creating winning teams to achieve successful project delivery in line with the approved business cases for our client. You will display the ability to mobilise people behind common goals and motivate your colleagues to achieve success. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills and be a credible and respected professional, internally and externally.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Define vision, strategy, objectives, operational plan and budget for the programs in line with strategic or operational objectives, in order to give direction to the client's programs in a way that optimises cashflow, profitability and growth;
- Ensure the optimal execution of activities and utilisation of available resources, techniques, systems within the client's programs in line with the operational objectives and compliant with (local) regulations, in order to increase the efficiency of the client's programs as well as the customer service excellence in a way that optimises client retention rates;
- Create or contribute to awareness and the promotion of positive attitudes towards major topics throughout the client's programs, in line with the business strategy and business objectives, in order to achieve and maintain a change in organisation culture and increase in performance;
- Monitor planning, structuring, organisation, management and control of the organisation, processes, staff and business partners of the business Line, in line with Fokker guidelines and business strategy, in such a way that the client's objectives are achieved;
- Ensure all activities of the client's programs comply with Fokker’s governance model, in order to optimise the business processes and to minimise the risks of legal claims;
- Guard the proposal management and related governance aspects;
- Support the account plan of the client in line with the business strategy and/or operational plan as a basis for strategy formulation;
- Lead and coach a team of project managers and participate in MT.
Desired profile
- BSc./MSc./PhD. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
- Proven track record in program/project management in a technical environment;
- Strong leadership skills and business acumen;
- Strong command of the Dutch language is a must;
- Flexibility to travel.
