The Northern Ireland Technology Centre and the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering specialise in automation and simulation methods for the design of advanced manufacturing solutions for the aerospace industry. Work conducted at the University has made it an internationally recognised centre of commercial as well as academic expertise in engineering simulation and process automation.


As a result we are seeking to recruit an engineer to work as part of our team in collaboration with a number of world leading aerospace companies and manufacturing technology providers within a new major ‘Aerospace Technology Institute’ project. The overarching aim of the research consortium is to develop and demonstrate new manufacturing technologies which will enable higher rates of aircraft production.


We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate capable of developing and demonstrating new manufacturing technologies, specifically:
