We are looking for an experienced, driven and creative architect with previous experience within retail that will play an important part in the development of our H&M store concepts.

 

 

H&M Store Development at H&M Head Office in Stockholm is responsible for creating the global store concept for all H&M stores. Our focus is to create a strong brand statement and a great shopping experience that makes us the No.1 choice in every location.

As an Architect within the Store Development Department you will work in an inspiring, creative and challenging environment. Together with the team, you will play a big part in the development of the H&M store concept – which means creating inspiring retail environments on the most prominent locations in the world!

 

Our creative process is project based and defined through company briefs and priorities. You will collaborate with our designers and engineers amongst others and your main focus will be architectural development such as facades, stairs, flooring, ceilings and lighting.

 

 

Your main responsibilities are:

  • Participate or lead architectural development according to set company priorities and briefs.
  • Responsible for managing projects or part of projects according to briefs.
  • Work closely with Designers, Store Planners and Engineers to develop and realize architectural principles/concepts for our store concept/s.
  • Create and conclude architectural development such as mood boards, sketches, models and presentations.
  • Deliver complete architectural documentation for handovers to other functions, according to briefs, set work processes and time plans.

Your personal qualities also include:

 

  • 5-10 years experience from an architectural/design firm or similar.
  • Experience from concept development within retail environments.
  • Project management skills.
  • A drive to work with constant improvements, actions and achieve results.
  • A passion to optimize selling and to create a strong brand statement through a great store experience.
