1 post-doctoral post for the interdisciplinary Research Training Group (post-graduate program) Locating Media

For 1 October 2015 the interdisciplinary Research Training Group (post-graduate program) Locating Media ("Graduiertenkolleg" GRK 1769) of the University of Siegen is accepting applications for

one post-doctoral post
(salary category TV-L 13, 100%)

for two years (according to DFG standards, continuation from April 1, 2017 to September 30, 2017 possible after successful evaluation of the Research Training Group).

The contract duration is in accordance with the Law for Temporary Employment of Scholars and Researchers.

Job description:

This position will enable a scholar to progress toward a postdoctoral lecturing qualification.

We expect:
–  attendance of the Research Training Group’s events such as workshops, international conferences, intensive workshops, summer schools
–  regular presentations of interim findings for the individual research projects (Research Colloquium, Lecture Series)
–  mandatory teaching assignment of one course per semester
–  co-organisation of workshops and international conferences

Your profile:

− outstanding doctoral degree in one of the following areas of study: media studies, history, information science, literary studies, linguistics, ethnology, political science, sociology, sociological technology studies
–  outstanding scholarly achievement
–  research project in one of the areas of study listed above (10-page project prospectus including task schedule)
