We are looking for motivated researchers with experience / knowledge on metal (surface) science, electrochemistry and corrosion. The candidates should hold a degree of Master in Science or Engineering sciences, with preferred specialty material science, chemistry or metallurgy. The research positions are now open and concern two-year projects with a sound industrial relevance. The candidates should be fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking), should be able to work and adapt themselves well in an international and highly multi-cultural research group with over 55 members. There is potential for a research continuation towards a PhD degree. The candidates should also be able to work with students.
Topics of the projects:
- impact of recycling on the functional properties of aluminium extrusion alloys;
- study of plasma coatings for the protection of PCBs against corrosion;
Both projects are with an industrial partner in Flanders, Belgium.
