Maersk Drilling is looking for a senior Electrical or Automation Engineer to support the operation of billion dollar drilling rigs through solid and innovative engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities

As Senior Electrical/Automation Engineer you will be responsible for managing your own projects, working closely with our team of engineers to ensure that quality and progress targets are met.

You will be handling electrical power systems (LV/HV), SCADA/PLC Systems including HMI’s (hardware and software). Additionally you will work with performance requirements, functional design and software requirement specifications, validation of functionality, and FME(C)A’s.

You will be managing engineering consultancies and suppliers working on your projects.

You will facilitate and participate in international project meetings and further you are expected to contribute with in-depth knowledge as a team member on larger projects.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Development of concept and detailed designs within your professional skills and experience. This also includes interface design and fit-for-purpose design.
  • Make technical purchase specifications, before picking suppliers and subcontractors as well as participate in factory quality tests, commissioning and ensuring correct documentation.

Who we are looking for

The candidate has a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and:

  • Has a minimum of eight years of experience working with e.g. Industrial Control and Safety Systems.
  • Is strongly result-oriented, capable of working independently as well as in teams and has a logical approach to problem solving.
  • Is fluent in written and spoken English and ideally has a basic knowledge of Danish.
  • Has practical field commissioning experience working in remote locations.

To apply for this position, you must hold a valid Danish work-and residence permit.

You need to be willing and able to travel a lot also with short notice. The position includes trips to offshore drilling rigs to carry out troubleshooting, surveys, supervise and plan project execution or similar tasks.

It may also include participating in yard stays throughout the world, which you will, of course, be further compensated for.
