Site Manager (m/f) Offshore Substation, Aalborg

As a Site Manager OSS (m/f) you will monitor, facilitate, manage and report on the construction, outfitting and onshore (/offshore) test & commissioning of the OSS and all its equipment. This concerns timing, quality, interface and HSE aspects. The Site Manager OSS (m/f) will be based permanently at the construction site in Aalborg (DK) until sail away, and may be part of the (initial) offshore commissioning activities. You will report to the Package Manager OSS.

 

Your job as Site Manager OSS 


 

  • Organizing daily/weekly site meetings with Contractor to discuss and solve discovered problems
  • Organizing regular meetings with Contractor and relevant 3rd parties (like TSO, Employer’s other contractors) to plan construction activities
  • Managing team of site inspectors/engineers and interfacing with OSS engineers (SCADA, electrical, civil, steel)
  • Managing and overseeing Employer’s 3rd parties also working on or around the OSS construction area
  • Receiving, inspecting and safe keeping of Employer’s or 3rd Party equipment
  • Maintaining OSS punch list and discussing/solving in close cooperation with Contractor and in agreement with Package Manager OSS
  • Monitoring the timeline of the OSS against time programme
  • When possible, attendance of OSS equipment FAT’s
  • Overseeing the installation, testing, commissioning of all OSS equipment and its interfaces to the structure (in cooperation with site engineers and OSS design review team). This includes reviewing commissioning procedures and design documentation
  • Overseeing the structural quality of the OSS (in cooperation with dedicated steel/coating/structural specialist inspectors)
  • Monitoring and facilitating the assembly of the (provisional) as built documentation.
  • Managing and overseeing the safety of contractor and own personnel working on the OSS. This includes safety inductions and organizing toolbox meetings.
  • Helping prepare the OSS for offshore commissioning and operation, by being part of or by closely interfacing with the OWF Commissioning team. If possible, helping to create OSS/OWF commissioning procedures.

 

 

Your profile as Site Manager OSS 


 

  • Electrical or process engineer, or equivalent through experience, but with a broad (basic) knowledge of non-electrical topics like piping, corrosion protection, etc.
  • You should have at least a few years of experience with managing (sub)contractors and a construction site team, and commissioning of (offshore) substations.
  • Strong and broad background in (technical) HSE topics related to construction sites and electrical environments, preferably having specific HSE trainings like SCC or similar.
  • SCADA background desired
  • Offshore work certificates are a plus
  • Very good communication skills, both in office and construction area environments
  • Very good English language skills
  • Pragmatic, pro-active and problem-solving approach. Priority management is a key asset.
