Senior Development Engineer

We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer with understanding of medical device development to join a team of dedicated needle developers. You will help us to innovate and develop new needles that can make a real difference to users of Novo Nordisk products.

About the Department

Needle Innovation and Development are continuously developing the best, most innovative and widely used pen needles in the world. In the development of pen needles, we ensure that user insight and innovation go hand in hand with a strong quality mind-set. We are a team of 8 passionate engineers, responsible for development of pen needles from first product idea to global product launch. We focus on what we do best: creating life-saving products guided by patient insights. By focusing on the patients and their needs we have become world leaders in the needle market.

The Job

Your tasks will be innovation, construction and documentation of Novo Nordisk future pen needles in close collaboration with your colleagues in the needle development team. You will help to bring the product from first idea through an evolving series of prototypes to a product on the global market. Your job will be construction, prototyping and documentation of the future pen needles. Along the way you will be in contact with a large part of the global organization.

You will work in a team with other highly dedicated professional to achieve ambitious common goals. You will be given a broad range of responsibilities and experience a variety of tasks, working with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications

You must be a qualified mechanical engineer with experience in medical device development. You have experience in documenting you work in accordance with current legislation. You have experience in 3D construction in CAD preferably experience with PTC-Creo. Experience in needle development will be an advantage, but not a must.

This role requires good communication and interpersonal skills as you will be working in a team with colleagues with different educational background and nationality. This also requires that you are proficient in English.
